Hurricane, Putting on a Sweater & Heavenly knows Everyone of Us

This week my email to him was entitled, Fuhreezing.  He replied back with it was a bit chilly in Honduras too.  76 degrees and he had to put on a sweater.  Not sure I can even relate.  I'm just about ready to book a ticket to pick him up.  He is doing awesome.  I also found a bonus picture on the mission blog with Elder Peterson.  Today is 49 days until his return...I just may make it after all.  Enjoy...

Cold here too freak it hit 76 geeze I had to put my freaking sweater on cause I'm not used to it its horrible

Well a crazy week has come and gone and this is the final week of January can you believe that anyways to start off I got a call on Tuesday saying I had to go to SPS for my residency I was stoked cause a 70 came elder Mayne's and colon was not invited but I got to go because of the special circumstances so I had divisions with some other elders that were going as well we worked the day then got into the bus to go to SPS at 2:30am yeah we are so far from San Pedro not even funny but we got to the church at 8:45 so long trip when the multi Zona starts and only goes for 45 mins what huh oh elder Mayne's had to catch a plane so he was off quick its cool listening to a 70 they're great guys. So I get my residence done and we are back on the bus to go to colon at 3:30 so as we are waiting to go there is this girl that's sitting alone in the back of the bus with just a garbage bag of stuff. And honestly something hit me like go talk to her, but I'm just thinking its my head and all when I finally ask another elder named Roper to come with me and talk to her.....so we get to her and were just like hey what's up where are you going she tells us ceiba and so we ask her if she has ever talked to missionary's and she says " I'm a member" wow heck ya that's sweet so I start asking here what ward she is from and all that so then she says no I'm going to my uncles house she's from Tegucigalpa but was coming from ocuetepeque because her parents \ kicked her out of the house and she had no where to go..her parents aren't members and she is only 14 years old she had the idea to go to the states illegally but got scared so she was going to ceiba I couldn't believe it this girl only 14 years old was just lost lost and scared and we freaking found her. When we started talking to her she lit up knowing that the church is in ceiba man it was a cool experience just something that tells you God knows every one of his children. And loves them so that was tight.

So finally after the San Pedro excursion I got to Trujillo Friday at 11 to a HURRICANE  I have never ever seen such a storm it was crazy so crazy we couldn't leave no power wind knocking down trees flooding houses it rained for 36 hours and right now still raining geeze its bad the good thing is our inv. went to church and we have some baptism dates this weekend hopefully 3!!!! But we have to see how everything goes Trujillo is super tight I love it i love teaching and looking at the ocean freak the ocean is TIGGHT  love it so yeah that was the week pretty much it was sweet well thanks for all your love and support you guys are the best love you so much.

An Ocean Baptism & A Generous Heart

Bridger has always wanted to have a baptism in the ocean and this week it would have happened for him.  However, his generous heart gave the opportunity to his "kid" or companion.  We also were able to chat back and forth with him quite a bit and he is getting nervous about returning home and school.  I hope he can forget about that and understand that he has done is part and Heavenly Father will do his when he returns.  He is so happy as you will see in the pictures he sent this week. So enjoy...

What up family how are you guys well let me tell you a little bit about what went down this week in Trujillo

Well Monday all the elders form colon were here there was 12 of us sleeping in our tiny tiny house hahah it was a real joke and no one slept good but it was a fun night I hope you got some of those pics the lobster here is SO BOMB!!!! Haha anyways being here next to the beach we eat a ton of fish but I'm talking a ton I think this week I ate fish 6 times haha but I do love it freak fish from the ocean is so good also shrimp this week we can definitely say it was a better week for food so that's good thank goodness.

So this week also we had a baptism it is this Garifuna kid named Angelo it was sweet and honestly I wanted to baptize sooooo bad but my kid elder Mauricio had never baptized so after the interview I just asked him if he was ready to go swimming in the ocean Saturday haha and he just had a big smile on his face he was stoked to do the baptism in the ocean it being his first one haha it was a way cool moment. He did a good job so now we have a new goal that I can go swimming too haha so I hope it can happen. I will send some pics home of the baptism because si hombre it was tight.

So well really that was our big week it was just a regular week but fun like it always is the members here are tight like 65% are black so that makes it even better haha they're tight though like its so chill here I feel like if I was in Jamaica but it makes for a fun time here.

Also I want to thank chelsy draney for the Christmas package it was AWESOME!!!! I'm definitely gonna have to thank her personally for that because it really was a spirit booster the what she did was an advent calendar and everyday to open the bag was 2 pieces of candy and 2 quotes quotes from apostles or movies until there was an actor Steve Martin and yeah anyways every quote had a positive message and a way we can look at life better it was honestly a great package so please tell her THANK YOU!!! From elder Clayton  by the way how's Zach Jensen doing home right or have you talked to Aaron Markasich well anyways that was my week thanks for everything I love you guys so much you're the best.

Living the Dream on the Beach, and What's for Dinner?

You will see that is doing well, and loving his new area.  I love this email.  I can hear his voice and laughter as if he's telling it to me.  This is a good one. I thought about taking one of the parts out about what they eat and then decided its worth sharing.  This one is lol.  Enjoy...

So sounds like its been a pretty cool week at home I hope you all had a great time we went to the beach today and played soccer on the beach it was so sick I loved it so fun then I ate some lobster crab and shrimp a HUGE plate for a whopping 10 dollars pretty good deal right the ocean food is pretty bomb and its fresh  so ya anyways.
First off might. Just say come what may and love it i know you're sick of this quote but I freaking love it. We just have to do our best and leave the rest to The Lord. I think more than anything out here I have learned just that very thing.  I have thought about ohhh a million things this week hahah anyways I love you here's how the week went.

Well it has been a really good week here in Trujillo on the beach haha that sounds pretty tight to say anyways this week lets just see there is definitely not the best food out here miles away from the big city so this we we got the pleasure to eat chicken feet, cow liver and cow heart and kidney are you kidding me why do people eat this stuff it's HORRIBLE but downed it like a champ with a little help from the tortillas my comp on the other hand had a well we can say rough time and did not finish the food we hit up a pulperia after and it was all good so that was Tuesday ok so we get to Thursday and go to dinner where they give us a plate of eggs beans and rice pretty typical and then the Hermana throws some pig skin stuff I don't know what we would call it but I can say it was fresh so fresh it still had all the hair on it so ugh that was rough but then we look in the bowl  To see if there is anything else other parts that are edible when I see it..... Pig penis aghhhhhhh holy freak no that is where I'm drawing the line I just about died my kid just about passed out when the son came in saw we weren't gonna eat it and started eating it hair and all agh almost throwing up we thanked the Hermana and peaced out jee what am I doing with my life......oh ya I'm doing what The Lord wants me to do come what may and love it right haha oh man it was bad bad week for food so ya anyways I hope everyone at home ate well this week haha but its all good.

Also so now the year is over right and my calendar you sent me ended and I love my calendar because I write down all that's happened in the days right but huh how hard it is to find a calendar here in all of Trujillo there isn't any so we went to Tocoa and there was a bank there that people pointed me in the direction so I go ask them and ya they have like 8 million stacked up so I ask if I can have one she says they are only for clients and no so I sit there and talk for a bit and nah she is not bugging so I'm like alright alright you wanna play this little game I go to the next Hermana in line and ask her if she is a client and will be making a transaction today she says yes and so I ask here if she can get me a calendar she's like yeah no problem so boom she did it after going to 13 different stores banks and all we got one i was stoked the Hermana was tight these are the people who need to be members of the church cause they're so tight so Tocoa was a success we also had interviews with president on Saturday it was good I love president Veirs he's the man I don't know if you guys get to write him on the blog or anything but he is an awesome guy I love him. So then we got back Saturday at 5 to Trujillo and well no light puchika. So we were in the dark all night.

Also yesterday we had 5 new people in church yesterday so we are hoping they will progress and total will be good we should have a baptism this week if everything goes good hoping for good weather!!!! So I love you guys so much thanks for everything.

Also I would love to throw a shout out to the demoux family you're the bomb thanks so much for you're Christmas card and letter I can't wait to meet the 2 princesses see Connor knock someone out in karate and go to a play of Carson's while listening to them play the piano you guys are AWESOME I LOVE YOU .....L.GO BRONCOS and I hope the ankle gets better Kim.

Bonus Pictures...Love Sister Veirs

Bridger's mission mom, or the president's wife has a blog. I check it often.  It is always my hope to find one picture of my missionary.  This time, bonus...several.  I don't know the story of the brownies other than I know he had president interviews with President Veirs.  So, of course I will share with all who follow.  As you will see, he looks fantastic and his smile tells just how happy he is.

Love him so much!!!

Happy New Year, Training and Lot's Wife

This week I was so looking forward to his email as I was a little concerned about his being in a new area, brand new missionary and what would happen.  This will not disappoint.  He is such a great missionary and will train this new elder to love his mission, just like he has.  He is doing awesome and you can tell he is going to be just fine in this new adventure and area.  It was so great to talk to him and it felt like he really was right there with me.  Just like old times.  So, enjoy, it's a good one...

TRUJILLO COLON
So hey we just came off of a 5 hour hike i am DEAD but ready to start the new year right
HEY guys how's it going i hope you're all ready to start the new year and do as Katy Perry has told us and "don't ever look back don't ever look back" we had a message last week in church about freak I don't know the story all that well right but soddom and Gomorrah and the wife of or her name is Lot and so the story goes as you know the city is wicked haha an apostle came and actually compared San Pedro Sula to this city but anyways said it would be destroyed and the needed to leave in the instructions to leave we're specific........go now and don't look back and what did she do looked back and turned to a pillar of salt so the message was with 2013 don't look back on the bad look at the good and keep going forward we make mistakes every one  of us but its with the gospel of Jesus Christ we can be healed and keep going. I really can't believe that for 1 full year I did not one time NOT ONE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!step a single foot on American soil haha pretty cool huh I'm pretty much hondureƱo you could say but it's all good.

Man how awesome was it to talk to you guys on FaceTime isn't technology freaking amazing you guys were honestly only a foot away from me I loved talking to you and I loved cooking with mom it made me feel as if I were home again hahaha so it was good my comp had a good time talking as we'll even though he has only been away from home for 21days he felt good and said the time went by so fast which don't know why but it really does fly. Thanks for all of you're love and support you guys are the best  a mission is the funnest thing in the world. This week was pretty awesome we had some good city's and I feel that we will have a lot of success in this area in Trujillo we have found some really awesome people and I'm pretty stoked its so pretty here definitely one of the top 5 prettiest places I've ever seen in my life it's awesome I love the ocean the great salt lake has nothing on the ocean.

But I do like training it's awesome to work with a new elder that has the spirit of a new missionary I've been learning a lot and decided I'm gonna read the Book of Mormon 1 more time completely before I finish its about 8 pages a day but I can and will do it. So anyways I also did want to say I love you guys and I'm fine I don't know why maroon 5 made a music video of my experience in calpules but haha oh well just know I am fine never have been better and it was a one of a kind experience more details to come so haha just wait. So yesterday wasn't the best day in church but we just have to keep going.
