Business as usual & Sweet Oakley Sunglasses

This week's email was just a business as usual one.  Which to be hones is just fine with me.  There is also a bonus picture of him and another elder.  Elder Floisand is from Rose park and his dad works with Wayne.  They are in the same area and were able to do divisions/splits with each other.  This picture was sent from his mom via Facebook.  He looks and sounds great.
.

Well this week was just one of those weeks right but some sweet things happened so first on Tuesday i had divisions with Elder Floisand dude that kid is so tight man and a way good missionary we hap fun up in copan the only thing is we were thinking that copan is so different because honestly solo like 42% of people here can read.......so ya thats a litlle hard when wwe are teaching but its all good i guess they just dont go to school go figure so ya it doesnt help that in some of the villages we teach and houses they dont have ELECTRICITY!!!!! but freak who needs lights anyways right..are they physco but ya we had a good working week but the only crappy thing is that noone went to church freaki dont understand this Copan thing like we even got up early Sunday and Passed by 8 houses not one wanted to go freaking ridicoulous but who knows but ya so this week in church we had the grand attendance of 31 with me blessing the sacrament my comp passing and i had to talk ...awesome freak it is so smalll here like noone goes to church its hard. but oh heres a funny story for ya all so we are going to the church saturday at like 2 oclock to help clean it and as we are unlocking the gate to get in this car just stops and these people are just jumping out but its liike a 6 foot 9 gringo and he just saYS hey so where are you elders from so friendly and  awesome they were from pleasent view utah and his wife was a missioanry here 20 yearsa ago!!!!! pretty tight we talked toem for like 15 mins but it was awesome to see someone allhe saisd though was i just cant wait to go back to america hahahaha its not that bad here i thought i love Honduras but he had had enough hahah youll have to allcome here one day its so tight! Also so we were in a store the other day when i see tis pair of Oakley sunglasses and im like freak these look real and we were ion a pretty nice store i asked the price and the lady was like um......50 Lmps alright ill buy freaking like 2 dollars and 50 cent you cant go wrong only to find out THEY ARE FREAKING REAL after talking to 6 Elders and Other People we have confirmed it i bought New Oakley Sunglasses that are worth 129in the states for 2.50 hahaah i love it also mom asked how much was 200lmps for the gym for a month its about 10 bucks hahah pretty good deal right i cant complain. Anyways thats pretty much allthat went down this week normal week.

Well Love you All Have a good week

Rotten Eggs bring on the Dreaded Double Dragon

This email may be a bit graphic, however he documents quite well and it's pretty enjoyable and entertaining reading.  Made me feel bad to hear how sick he was, but as it was a few days in the past when he wrote this email, he seems fine and happy as usual.  Love him so much.  For some reason I have been missing him even more this week.  But, today marks his 15 month mark...I couldn't be happier.  Although he says it's going too quickly for him.

Here it is, enjoy...

Well i am thinking that all of you guys are wondering what in the freak is a double dragon thats a mission frase here so let me explain what went down so ok this is what went down Wed we go to work and at night go to this members house for dinner which it was a normal honduras dinner with Cheese Beans Eggs and Mantaquila its like a white cream thing i like it anyways we sit down to eat and i just felt like something wasnt right the eggs smelled way wierd so i was just like whatever its all in my head so we ate up and bounced when we got home i was laying on my bed and my comp asked me how i was and i said good my stomach is a little bit upset but all good he said alright i took the dats and went to bed until about 12¨30 when i woke up and went to thhe pila and threw everything up freak first time like the first time i have really thrown up and i was just like that was disgusting and went back to bed to only get up about 45 mins later because the other half of me was about to explode so ok this image might haunt you but its the expierence right annyways there i am in the bathroom pretty much sounded like Harry from Dumb and Dumber and all of a sudden im just like i gotta freakin throw up man ohholy cow i got nothing then i see some hope a pitcher that we use to catch water when it rains is right there in front of me if i can only grab it i will be good...when i lean forward and BOOOOOOOM both ends go exploding ah freak i grab the pitcher and fill it up and i think ok im good but we got a problem i am covered in puke and its 130 in the morning so i strip down and jump in the shower then went to the pila and washed all my clothes  sorry for the pause the computer did somme wierd thing so ya ill continue anyways so that goes down wash up and go to bed its like 2 now go to bed only to go through this same thing 5 more times oh my gosh until 7 am it was so bad man ah hahah but now its over i for sure I ate rotten eggs though man so bad but i got the double dragon called the double dragon cause you blow fire outta both ends haha but ya so that was good. Also It has just poured this week and lights have gone out for almost all the day ridicoulous i feel like im living in the 1700s here with candles everynight to chill with. And Boom started hitting up the gym it is a dump and the lady wanted 300 lmps a nomth ridicoulous we talked her down to 200 so thats betetre so ya thats way tight other than that we had a good Week Lissy is good her mom is stupid soo shes not getting baptized her mom is a member and has so much apostaes its crazy so thats not gonna fly but we are hoping to complete a family here in these weeks to baptizwe the husband of a member so you can pray for Wilson PeÑa hes a good guy just needs to have some faith but hes awesome also we have Maria Jose whos progressing so i hope we can get at least 1 we need 1 for June so ya hope we can do it also i was reading this week in alma 8 14 and 15 just keep your head up right i was thinking of finding nemo that part when dory is just like just keep swimming thats what we have to do me too keep swimming and be happy while doing it.

Hunting in Honduras

This one took me a while to post as I had to correct so many things.  He was on a terrible keyboard and so the spacing and lettering was off.  He mentions that only about 10 letters are visible on the keyboard.  Bonus was the great pictures he sent, too.  He is beaming.  As you can see the apple does not fall far from the tree. He is truly a hunter just like his dad.  You can hear the excitement as he writes about his adventures this week.  Enjoy, this is a good one...

In the streets of Copan, Florida
Crossing the river to go hunting
His first Iguana hunt...successful. I had no doubt!
He is so happy.  Love this boy. They ate this for dinner, and a turtle & dove as well.  Yummy?

Well to startoff freak this stealing jumpdrives outta the mailpeople are sick here know that but whatever ah thats abummer i have everything backed uop so thats all god but freak that ticks me off about the memory it was the 16 gig one and full for you guys hopefully the fools will get what they deserve right. Anywyas thats nuts about Stetson graduating right so tight though hes a great guy and i was thinking the other day causeiwas showing  our family pic to some investigadors and i was like this is my brother Caleb he will be turning 14!!!! inless than a month time fles byright i cant believe it. Anyways this week was changes i didnt have a change im still in theFlorida and ya well itsalright i guess im just as they say gonna make the best of it. I think it was all just the emergency change and the difference from San PedroSula to Copan that did it for me but ya im getting back better so ya anyways. This week in my distrect I Have Elder Floisand dad works with his dad or something hes a great elder and is a way hard worker he is a good sight to the district so im stoked. Also he was in the mtc with ElderFENN!!!! so tight right i love being mormon it makes the world so much smaller.Anyways i was just like i dont know missing home the other day and was just like i wanna go Hunting because in this area we are surrounded by mountains and theres a river and all that so i was talking to some Inv we have and there like freak lets go this Monday and so i was like to my comp you wanna go he said ya hes from Nicaragua and so then we sat there for a minute and i said but what are we gonna hunt and they told me doves and iguanas!!! and i said alright thats tight... how are we gonna shoot them and theyre just like with a sling shot of course how else oooohhhh ok and i told um i dont have a slingshot so they told us to come back the next day and they would help us make them so we went and made us a slingshot and this week while tracting and walking from lesson to lesson ive been practicing i can say ive aquired a new skill here slingshottin like not gonna say im a dead eye but i can shoot anyways today we got up at 5 to go up into the mountains where it was an hour and 15 min staight walk and hike to get there when we all set out and Ban one of the kids killed a dove and i was like these natives are GOOD so we went along and well im going to describe how Honduras Hunting Is ok its CRAZY!!!! yA GET ONE TO SHOT AND IF HE DOESNT HIT SHOOT AGAIN and ya until the iguana yes sorry o hunt iguanas falls from the tree or jumps thats when they hit the ground and you have to run and get your machete on it......Its so much freaking fun hahaha an adrenalin  rush so we had like 3 when they all told me  it was my turn so we spotted one in a tree and i dida litle stalk move andshot once missed shot twice missed again but the third time nope POPsmacked the thing and it comes screaming outta of the tree and theyre all yelling get the machete machete it so its the ground i get over there and just smacked it with the machete and then cut the bottom of its throat hahahah so ti ght but different hahaha it was so fun i havent gone hunting in over a year but it was fun.more  or less you can see a replay if you turn on the discovery channel and watch when the guys hunt in Afrca and theres all those natives like yelling and stuff haha superfun. So ya that ws definitly a high point for my week. Low part in Copan we have 0 inv progressing srewe have people to teach just not progressing so we gotta change that somehow we are working with a girl named Lissy pray for her and her mom that she can give her permission its that the mom is a member just doesnt think her daughter of 13 years is old enough whatever its pretty much the only thing we got so ya i need some help anywyas i love you all hope you enjoy this letter im sorry about the writing and spaces its cause today we had to go to an internet super chasta...sucky and the keybaord only has the letters visiblq of qxzgkpñ all the rest are worn off.

Anyways write me back if youre on i would love to hear from you and imma try to send pics of my trophy iguana and o a turtle. We are having the feast tonight i forgot to mention iguana doves and turtle i get to keep the turtle shell so i think that is cool well love you

A Better Week and No Gym for Awhile

This was a welcome email as we were concerned about how he was doing.  Even in the last email, he knew it would all work out.  He has always been able to do hard things and this is why.  The Lord knows so much about him and maybe this area is just where he needs to be, even if he couldn't see it at the time.  We also got a bonus package from him this week and it was missing the flashdrive full of pictures.  BUMMER!  We will survive.  It did have a handwritten letter which meant the world to me.  He's doing just fine.  The Lord truly watches over his missionaries.  Thanks again for all the prayers and support you are sending in his behalf.  It is felt and appreciated more than you know.  Enjoy...

Well im sorrry fam about last week email just frustrating right but anyways this week was a bit better i went on divisions for 3 days with my Zls so that was tight i love Honduras thats for sure i could never be mad at the country or the people i know for sure this is my mission i love it just cause when you talk to other people that have served missions and they say i served in the Best mission in the world and they say like Guatem, ala or somewhere else and freak they are so wrong because the best mission in the worl is really Honduras San Pedro Sula and I know it so ya i love the mission its bomb sucks somtimes but i know that everything will be good so never worry about me i am safe and loving life everyone has hard times in life mission whatever it might be the test though is how we come to face those problems and all of the things we are faced with daily right so everything is good.

Anyways this week we went to some little villages alot of people but the there are villages all over that we have to walk about 30 mins to get to em so far from the church but ya its the people that are going to church and progressing so thats good right just so different from the city i freaking love San Pedro thats probably why i was so sad to leave cause San Pedro is so bomb. Anyways ya this sunday we had the consler from the mission come and speak since it was branch conferance and he was talking about how all the work had to go forward here and that we need freaking help but ya all good so this week i went on a quest to find a gym to go to tin the morning and wel we found one the only thing is it opens at 1 ionthe afternoon and closes at 4 in the afternoon....WHAT are you kidding me who in the heck goes at that time so stupid so i ask the lady if she can just open aat 6 for us for an hour and shes just like well.......i dont know dont think so hahaha you have got to be kiddi¿gnme so right now i guess i can kiss the gym goodbye.. but its all good. Also there is a way cool lady named Lourdes her kids are members and have been for like 3 years she has never gone to church she went this week and loved it so boom got a date already 16th of June so that will be sweet to have this area get a baptism havent had one here in like 4 months so it will be good to change that,

Anywyas i was thinking about you guys alot how stetson is going to graduate and all its so crazy stetson will be such a tight missionary i know it he will be bomb i love you Stetson thanks for being so awesome. And caleb im sure hes lovin stakin the dough ray mi right hahaha so sick you guys are the best Family in the world thanks for everything love you all love

Saddest Day of my Life...What a Difference a Week Makes

This email is a hard one to read.  After such an incredible phone call last week, he was transferred rather quickly and it was difficult.  I probably shouldn't but this on his blog, but these are growing experiences and he will learn from this, too.  Even though it was hard, you can still feel of his upbeat and positive attitude, Come What May and Love it, and he will.  I am so anxious for his email this week.  It is a great lesson on patience, faith and trust for all of us.  Enjoy...

Freak well im writing this email still pretty bummed out so bummed actually the last week was pretty normal pday ended good and then tuesday we got up went to the gyn then went to the Meeting for the district and everything was awesome went to lunch all good. So then going back home to chill a bit before going out we had some complications that we had to make calls to The APs and all 4 of us had to go to San Pedro to the offices after they told us in 20 mins to pack everything in our house everything because we were leaving the area in 30 mins what i was heartbroken no goodbyes no pics no anything and we had to do it so i packed all of my stuff in 20 mins and we bounced my favorite area my favorite people gone in only a matter of 20 mins i can say i pretty much cried anyways we went to the office and had to have an emergany change for me... ok just so you all know i havent and or didnt do anything wrong its just the situation there they put another Latin there and i bounced.... Sucks anyways i chilled in the house of the secrataries for a night and then Pres Called me and told me i was going to Copan to a town called Florida. i hate it here to be quiet honest i wanna go back to the city freak anyways i got here on Wed after a 2 and a half hour car ride the only cool part of the drive was i actually talked the secrataries into letting me drive hahah and i drove for like 30 mins in the city probably the scariest mins of my life anyways we get here and all and work on Wed then i get a call a that i have to go back to san Pedro and to Emmigration so get up at 430 in the morning to get to SPS at 9 freak so long then got back at like 6 oclock that night anyways i just feel like they threw me here cause the other elder that was here had to get his appendix out so they just threw me in i WANT A CHANGE changes are on the 30 of may this month and i want one so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pray for me i know i should give it a chance but freak i just dont want to be in this area sorry pray for a chnage im already doing it like my comp is a guy that has 6 months and ya i just want a change copan is cool the area wise cobbble stone streets and all that but i want a change im sorry is that bad to say i seriously only want 9 more days of this area so hopefully it happens. Anyways that is where i am this week in an ancient city where i really dont want to be and wanna go hahah sorry stupid to say i know but ya.

Happy Motha's Day, & Learning Patience...Again

How can you even put into words how awesome it was to talk to Bridger through Skype.  He looks and sounds so great.  He did tell of us of a few perhaps "scary" incidents.  Which I'm sure he would not have, but since we could see his face, he couldn't lie.  He assures us he is safe and this will explain the email a bit.  A bonus we did receive was at 10:50 p.m. he called and had a few more minutes on his phone card.  He wanted to say that he loved us and wish me a Happy Mother's Day.  That was truly the best gift I could have gotten.  He's such a wonderful missionary and you could see it and hear it as he talked to us.  This email was another surprise as I wasn't sure he would be able to email as we had just spoken to us, but he did not disappoint.  And pictures, too.  Enjoy...

Did you guys like that title i sound like im from brooklyn anyways how tight was yesterday right so freaking cool skype is awesome right well we had a good week this week it was a little slower for me but all good cause it ended awesome i loved talking to you guys and DO NOT WORRY i am safe and everything has a funny story i laugh about everything so its a fun thing to do and to see stuff i love Honduras!!! after the united states it is the 2nd best country in the world right i love it here and being a missionary is so freaking tight minus taking the freaking dats gle night but its all good i still am loving life so thats all good ok well el 26 of Mayo we will have 2 baptisms hopefully 3 that would be great but we will see 3 would be awesome. to have so we will see what the Lord has planned for  us anyways. This week i have just had patiance tested i guess and just tried to feel more love some things that my comp does just well lets say TICK ME OFF. freak and i get like all ticked and then i just feel bad and feel maybe he really is trying his best so with that what can i do right i dont know but its all good well hope this week is great i love all of you guys and i hope you are all doing great youre the greatest family in the world.

A Little Frustrated, but Pressing Forward & Learning

I guess he can add this to one of his new talents he's learned in the field.
Always so pretty there.  I hope one day I can see what he has witnessed with the beautiful scenery.

You can tell that he is just as excited to talk to us in a couple of weeks as we are.  He is learning to be tolerant of another somewhat lazy companion and thinking he is supposed to learn something from this.  He'll get it, I'm sure of it.  He had several baptisms and he was truly meant to be in this area, a place that had not seen any progress for months before he got there.  Love him so much and can see the growth and changes in him each email.  I wish he'd send more pictures.  That is definitely one thing I will ask him about when I talk to him.  Other than, things are progressing just as they should be I think.  Enjoy...

Well family how are you doing first of all i would like to say can you believe solo 2 more weeks and we will be skyping it up i was talking to anderson and we both agreed at christmas and this time goes so slow cause we just wanna talk but itll come i know it im not so worried but ya my username is bridger.clayton pretty easy right the best thing here ill add a friend thing and then next week at about this same time like 2 oclock pm we can use it to chat back and forth not on video but like chatiar if thats a word anyways ya. So this week ok being DL was kinda a wake up right now i hate taking the dats everynight every single night i would rather just hang out annd chill but whatever so thats pretty new.

Anyways this week so my new comp is alright hes got 3 months and pretty much doesnt want to do anything i try to leave the house and he just wants to sleep so ive started reading Jesus The Christ and that is a way indepth book hahah but i love it and lerning lots i want to finish the book of mormon again in spanish im in alma so im gonna make a goal that i can have it done by june that would be super tight.

Also this week we had two more baptisms so with Cesar the Fam Merlow And Melyi and Victor we finished april with 8 so i was stoked!!!! way bomb i just hope now we can find for may so we will see what happens ok this Hna so pilas so pilas her name is Melyi Aguilar so cool ok first of all she lives like 1 block from the church and everyone in the whole colonial knows her it was the coolest baptism and everyone was so stoked she is so cool her and her son she also has two older daughters but they go to a different church so were gonna try to work with them but we will see what happens so ya this week ended way good. Im just kinda frustrated with my comp i know were together for a reason i just gotta find it the thing is he has 3 months he suppose to have the spark and all that but no its no whee to be found right now. HAHA so ya i found myself a little depressed yesterday but im all good now it was a slow as heck week so im hoping this one goes a little faster so cross your fingers.

Anywyas thats about it today we just played some futbol super fun i love futbol now im not good like solme of the latins but i feel like i can hold my own so that was all good dont worry

Love Elder Clayton

And of course, my email to him...

Hello Pal. Hope this finds you well and happy and getting used to your new comp, being district leader and having a wonderful week. This week seems to have flown by and I will let you know what's been happening.

The biggest at home news is the Jazz are in the playoffs. We were able to go to the game of all games on Tuesday evening to see them play. If they lost they would have been done, win, took them to the playoffs. And win they did. It was a fun night, a sea of Jazz jerseys and the place was loud as it ever is. I think they say the Jazz fans are one of the loudest in the NBA. Today they played the Spurs and they are probably going to be done fast. They might win one game, but the Spurs are so much older of a team and more talent. They did win them in regular season, but it was when the three top players did not even play. Tim Duncan being one of them. Oh well, it's fun. The Jazz are going to be good given a few years under their belt.

We did start something new about 10 days ago. We have struggled with family prayer and I really know how important it is and so we now do High of the day and Low of the day each evening and end with prayer. It is great to talk about our days and see what makes each of us Hi/Low. We all agreed the Jazz game was definately the high that day. And we have had everything from your emails as highs, to bad school lunch as the low. And then we end with family prayer. Usually it's about 9:30/9:45 so you can look at your clock and know that we are meeting as a family and thinking of you and praying for you as a family at that time every night.
Stetson's low one day was that his wisdom teeth were taken out. He's actually done very well and will most likely not go to school in the morning, but should be back to normal on Tuesday. He doesn't seem too swollen, I sent you a picture, he didn't want me to but I wanted you to see him. I think he is bored and hoping to be able to drive. I told him his car is probably wondering what the heck, he hasn't even started it for 3 days...weird.

How are the baptisms and investigators coming. We pray that these people will listen and accept your message. How's the gym, still going. I have been going back to Four Pillar at 5:15 a.m. It is so early, but it is easier to fit it into my schedule. Tomorrow/today Kristy Feller is going with me and I'm excited to have a buddy again. Always makes it easier.

Thanks for being such a great missionary and son. I couldn't be more proud of you and all you are doing. I am so looking forward to hearing your voice and especially your Spanish. I can't tell you how many times I have watched the video you sent. I love it, and you.

Hope you have a wonderful week, stay safe & be obedient. We continue to pray for you every day. Thank you for blessing our family and others through your service. We are truly blessed and watched over as I know you are too.

Love always,
Mom
